The Swing of the Kilt and the Skirl of the Pipes,
is brought to North Devon by the Bideford Youth Pipe Band,
Bideford's very own taste of Scotland.
Resplendent in their 'Ancient Lamont' Tartan, the Band,
perform throughout the South-West, in Carnivals, Parades,
Rallies etc. bringing a breath of highland air to the sassenachs.
Formed in 1991, and made up of youngsters between the
ages of 10 and 21, together with their teachers, the band
play a range of traditional Scottish favourites such as:-
'Scotland the Brave', 'The Green Hills of Tyrol'
and 'The Brown Haired Maiden'.

Band Practices are held at Bideford College on
Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7 - 9pm,
anyone between the ages of 10 and 18 are invited to come along.
